Walking Football England

The home of the new National Governing Body for Walking Football in England

Mission: To support and promote all WALKING Football clubs, Referees and England teams, maintaining independence and seeking unique sport recognition.

For 10 years the WFA was the NGB along with a belated claim 7 years ago by the FA. Recently, the WFA decided to relinquish their NGB status in return for a Delivery Partnership with the FA. This effectively removes the WFA member club’s rights to guide and control the direction of the sport, and input on the LOTG, with the FA also taking over club affiliations.

Hence to maintain these important club inputs into the sport this new NGB is being established to offer meaningful and inclusive club membership, quality referees, England teams, and a new National Cup, effectively replacing the severely diminished WFA, who are losing many of their key assets and much of their credibility.

We have applied to FIWFA to be the new England representatives as we understand that the WFA have recently been suspended by FIWFA for gross misconduct. If accepted, the WFE England teams will be playing at the European Nations Cup in Spain in November.
